I just found out that the New York Public Library has a really cool article discussion group that meets once a month at the Seward Park Library in the Lower East Side. The article for the December 19th meeting is called "Like This or Die: The Fate of the Book Review in the Age of the Algorithm" by Christian Lorentzen. It was published in Harper's Magazine (April 2019) and can be found/printed out here:

I am definitely going and welcome others to join me! Warmly recommend if you're interested in literary criticism, literature as an institution, literary debates, new ideas, and reading in general.
